Version 94 of Descript

Today, Descript rolled out some more updates to the drive view. We recently got the ability to bulk select projects. And today they changed it. The look of things. 

Now, if you want to favorite a folder, you click on the folder icon itself 

and a star appears or disappears on that folder.

 And your starred folders in case you haven't used this feature yet is how you can add things to your sidebar right here for quick access. So if you have a folder for client work, for example, like I do right here. You can keep that starred and then it's super quick and easy to open when needed.

Next new feature. 

There is now a beta of translation for voices. This is super exciting until now you've only been able to translate the transcript, but now you can translate the audio as well. So you're going to be able to select a part of your transcript or even the entire composition and translate it from whatever language it's in into one of the 23 supported languages. 

And actually, sorry, I take that back for the, for the voice part of this, you'll only be able to translate into. To five languages with the transcript part of it, you get all 23 languages. 

And this feature is rolling out over the course of the next week. So at the time of this video, I don't have it yet to be able to show it to you, but I'll make a video about it as soon as I can. 

And lastly, there are some changes with the file upload maximums. So if you're on the free plan, you're limited to uploading one gigabyte files. Into your projects, 10 gigabytes. If you're on the hobbyist plan, 20 gigabytes on creator and 50 gigabytes on business. And an important note, if you're on the legacy plans, that is, if you signed up for de script prior to July 2nd, you've been a paying member of de script before July 2nd, two weeks ago, then you don't have to worry about these limits.
