Descript is an amazing tool. It allows anyone with a microphone, a computer, and an internet connection to create professional-quality podcasts and videos. It's simple to use and there is nothing faster on the market.
The problem is, it's hard to get over the learning curve. Most beginners open it up and have no idea what to do next. What should you click? Will you ruin your project if you make a mistake? What makes for a good video or podcast anyway?
To make matters worse, there is a lack of Descript learning material available on the internet. The Youtube tutorials move too fast. The documentation is out-of-date. Technical support is impossible to reach. I could go on.

Typically, I use a "Crawl, Walk, Run" method of teaching by explaining the concept, demonstrating it, then giving you a chance to practice the skill.
